Day 1
tokyo (yokohama), japan
Departure: 16:00
Yokohama is the second largest city in Japan and one of the cities most accustomed to seeing foreigners. Yokohama is a modern international port city filled with sightseeing spots and an exotic atmosphere that can be traced back to its historic opening as a port. The Yokohama Landmark Tower at 296 m is one of Japan's largest buildings and the centrepiece of the Minato Mirai 21 (MM21) development. The Landmark Tower was completed in the early 1990s. There is a viewing gallery on the 69th floor - the Sky Garden, accessed by a super-fast lift, with excellent views on a clear day. Yokohama has a large number of other interesting museums and galleries, many connected with the history of the city as a port and a gateway between Japan and the world.

Arrival: 07:00 - Departure: 16:00
Hiroshima is an industrial city with wide boulevards and criss-crossing rivers, located along the coast of the Seto Inland Sea. While many people only know it for the horrific moment on August 6, 1945, when it became the site of the world's first atomic bomb attack, it has since transformed into a modern, cosmopolitan city with excellent cuisine and a lively nightlife. There are two World Heritage Sites in Hiroshima. One is the Itsukushima Shrine, and the other is the A-Bomb Dome of the Hiroshima Peace Memorial. Hiroshima is home to several historical sites. The Hiroshima Castle stands in the centre of the city. You can see the old town, which was formed during the Edo era, in Tomonoura in Fukuyama City and in Takehara City. However, in Hiroshima City, there are few old buildings as many were destroyed by the atomic bomb. Yet, some still stand resilient – for example, the Old Bank of Japan Hiroshima Branch, the Rest House, and so on. Around the Peace Memorial Park, you can see many statues dedicated to praying for the victims of the atomic bomb. The entirety of Hiroshima can serve as a textbook of its own history.

Day 9
jeju island, south korea
Arrival: 07:00 - Departure: 15:00
Jeju Island is the largest island in South Korea, located in Jeju Province (Jeju Special Self-Governing Province). The island covers an area of 1,833.2 km² (707.8 sq mi), accounting for about 1.83% of South Korea’s total land area. In 2020, it had a registered population of around 670,000, the highest of any island in the country. The island sits in the Korea Strait, just south of the Korean Peninsula and the South Jeolla Province. Jeju is South Korea’s only self-governing province, meaning it’s administered by local residents rather than politicians from the mainland. Kimnyeong Beach marks the northern tip of Jeju Island, Songak Mountain its southern end, Suwolbong the western edge and Seongsan Ilchulbong the eastern point. Lying between the Yellow Sea, the East China Sea and the Sea of Japan, Jeju occupies an important economic, political and military position for South Korea. The island was formed by the eruption of an underwater volcano roughly 2 million years ago. It’s home to a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Jeju Volcanic Island and Lava Tubes. Jeju has a temperate, relatively mild climate; even in winter, temperatures rarely drop below 0 °C (32 °F). It is a hugely popular holiday destination, and a significant share of the local economy depends on tourism and activity linked to its civil and naval base.
seoul (incheon),south korea
Day 10
seoul (incheon),south korea
Arrival: 07:00
Incheon is a historically and economically important city for Koreans. During the Korean War, it was the site of the Incheon Landing by American forces. Today, Incheon is a metropolitan city of about 2.8 million people, politically independent from Seoul. It also serves as a major transport hub by air and sea, with a huge harbour and one of the world’s best international airports. Several beautiful islands, including Yeongjong Island and Ganghwa Island, fall within the city limits. The city’s profile is set to rise further, with a number of major national projects underway. The New Songdo City development, the most expensive real estate project in Korean history, is due for completion in 2015. One of the world’s tallest twin-tower complexes, the 151 Incheon Tower, is in the early stages of construction, and Korea’s current tallest building, the Northeast Asia Trade Tower, has already been completed. Incheon is also planning a series of independent mini-cities focused on shopping, housing and education. Alongside these developments, the city will welcome large numbers of visitors for the 2014 Incheon Asian Games. For now, however, the Songdo area is still unfinished and sparsely populated, and is not yet a particularly rewarding destination for tourists. Travellers are more likely to enjoy the lively eastern districts of Incheon, which merge almost seamlessly into the vast urban sprawl of Seoul.
